Auxilium Engineering Services have been engaged as building services engineering design consultants for the refurbishment of Pentrehafod School, Swansea. The aim of the project will be to bring the school buildings up to 21st century standards. This will include not only the refurbishment of key elements, but will also involve partial rebuild and extension of the existing buildings. This will allow the school to coordinate the curriculum more effectively in line with curriculum changes over the next couple of years.
The major refurbishment works are expected to take two years and will be phased in five distinct areas. Taking this approach will ensure that the school remains onsite throughout the build programme. During this period Morgan Sindall and Auxilium will work very closely with the schools senior management team in order to maintain pupil and staff movements as safely and as securely as possible whilst also minimising disruption to classes.
