Riverlight – Battersea, London

This South Bank development is a family of six pavilions, rising in height – all with a North-South orientation. It lies within the Vauxhall, Nine Elms and Battersea (VNEB) regeneration area, which forms a brand new district in Central London.

The five-acre site features 752 apartments and penthouses, and various commercial spaces, plus a two-level basement car park. The design also features a ‘third space’ concept – a clubhouse for residents that offers a unique place between home and work.

Auxilium were engaged by multi disciplinary practice Hoare Lea LLP to carry out the spatial coordination due to our specilist knowledge and skills. The apartments featured restricted voids which required detailed space planning in order to ensure the architectural philosophies were maintained.

Clyne Castle Development - Swansea

The Clyne Castle residential development consisted of the conversion of a Grade II listed building into 17 luxury apartments, along with 15 luxury new build houses and the conversion of a coach house into 3 town houses. The project value was approximately £20m and incorporated a wide range of mechanical and electrical services.

Auxilium was engaged to design the mechanical and electrical services in a sympathetic manner required for a listed building whilst at the same time a modern approach was also required for the new houses in contrast to the traditional setting.

One of the challenges was to ensure compliance with the newly introduced building regulations at the time. This was achieved through close collaboration with the architectural team to provide a cost effective construction solution.
The solution was a design consisting of discreet building services whilst still providing modern systems that complied with energy efficiency targets.
